JAMES R ENWRIGHT DEAD.
Has Resided Southwest of Tipton For Past 63 Years.
Sunday morning about 0 o'clock James R Enwright, 68 years of age and a resident of the Ekin Community for the past 63 years died at his home two miles west of Ekin, from the effects of a stroke of apoplexy suffered about 6 a.m. He never regained consciousness after the attack. The attending physician stating that a blood vessel in the brain had ruptured causing his condition.
The deceased was the youngest of seven children born to his parents, John and Pheobe (McCaskin) Enwright who settled in the community west of Ekin 63 years ago. Only one brother survives.
He is also survived by his wife and five children, Edward of Arcadia, Mrs. Hester Straley of Little New York, and Iva, Ruby and Kenneth at home.
Funeral services will be conducted at the East Union church Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. Rev. George D Foster officiating and burial will be in the East Union Cemetary.
James R Enwright was born in Hancock County March 11, 1857, and came to this section with his parents when he was five years of age. September 13, 1888, he was united in marriage to Miss Clora Dickson and seven children were born to this union, two of who preceded the father to the grave. Mr. Enwright was one of the well respected men of the community with many friends who will learn with deep regret of his passing.\

James Robert Enright, son of John and Phoebe McCaslin Enright, was born in Hancock county, March 11, 1867, and departed this life May 17, 1925, aged 58 years, two months, six days. He was united in marriage to Miss Flora Hannah Dickison, Sept 13, 1888. To this union were born seven children, two daughters, May and Oma Leo, preceding him in death.
He with his parents moved to Hamilton County in the year of 1872. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and as a neighbor and friend, he was kind and sincere, of the best he had. He was willing to share with neighbors and friends, always ready and willing a kind work to speak or a good deed to do. He will be greatly missed by his many friends in the community in which he lived.
He is survived by his wife, five children, Ed Enright, of Arcadia, Mrs. Hester Straley, of New York, Iva, Ruby and Kenneth, at home; one brother, John Enright of Newcastle; six grandchildren, whom he loved dearly, a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
