Holly, Thank you for offering to do lookups. I have a family that I have found incensus records from 1880 to 1910 but cannot seem to find any real connections to them. Since they lived there in Tipton Co for over 30 years I really hope there might be some mention of them in newspapers, county history or possibly a family file at the library.
Marticia Fortune married Samuel Foutch in about 1870 in Boone Co., IN.
They appear in the Hamilton Co IN census in 1880 with three children, Charles b. 1872, James G. b. 1875 and William F. b. 1878 or 1879.
Then they moved to Tipton Co., living near Kempton in Jefferson Twp. in the 1900 census. They had a son Frank living with them at that time age 21 so born about 1880. (This may be the William F. who was age 1 in 1880)
They also must have had a daughter born soon after 1880 who married before 1900. Her name was Jennette and she was supposed to have married a man named Weaver.
In 1910 Samuel, Marticia and Frank were still living in Kempton, Jefferson Twp and Samuel and Frank both worked at a tile factory. Frank was aged 31 at that time. If he married it would be after 1910.
I didn't find the older boys, Charles and James in the 1900 or 1910 census. Several with same names but not right ages or place of birth. This doesn't mean they were not there just that I didn't guess a different spelling or that the indexing people misread the name.
There were other Foutch families living in Tipton Co. also but I am only interested in this Samuel Foutch family.
This is about all I know about them. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Darline Duncan
