Hello Michael,
I see you are interested in helping others find their ancestors. Lucy and Thomas Patterson are mine. I am related through their son William R Patterson, B:29 July 1818 in KY. He married a Asabrinah Butler b:abt 1822 in IN. On the 1850 census she is listed as "Insane". They were married in Tippecanoe co. 24 Feb 1842. Says both were of legal age. I have no idea of her heritage. William R died in 1854, she married a Isaac Thomas, he was the administrator of Williams will. I see her alone with the 2 children in 1860, but her first name is then spelled Rasbrina Thomas on this she is listed as unknown birth place. Alex and Mary Patterson are with her but also listed as Thomas.
There was a Josiah Butler living near Luch and Thomas Patterson according to land records. I wonder if he was her father? This was in Cass co.
There is also a Samuel Butler listed in Tippecanoe county.
I am at a loss. Any suggestions would be appreciated. She disappeared after the 1860 census also.
My brick wall is named Asabrinah Butler, thanks for reading this.
