Bonnie, I don't have alot of Switzerland Co., books, mainly because they haven't put them out. I did check my Cememtery Book. there are no Arnolds listed as being buried anywhere in Switzerland Co., but I did find Allfreys.
Switzerland Co., IN Cemetery Inscriptions 1817-1985 by Wanda L. Morford, Cincinnati, OH 1986pg 50-51 Ebenezer Cemetery Craig Twp. "In Deed Book E., pg 391-191 in the Switzerland County Court Hse., in a deed from James Alfrey (Jr.) and Nancy his wife to the Trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church, for land containing 1 1/2 acres, to be used to rerct a house or place of worship. It is dated 19 Feb 1833. It appears from church recds that a church had alread been built across the road in 1831.In 1841 a new church was built, and on 17 Oct 1849 the Alfreys' also deeded this land to the church. The present church was built in 1901The 1 1/2 acres is used as the cemetery. They are both named after the first preacher Ebenezer Gray."Among others buried there is Alfrey James Sen. d. 3 Mar. 1835 aged 70y 4m 6d. down (meaning that the stone has fallen down)
Also Allfrey?, d. 7 Sep 1853 aged 31 y 1(?)m 8 d.
Dianna, dau. of Joseph & Elizabeth, d. 28 Sep 1857 aged 29y 3m 13d
illegible Allfrey stone down can read just last name.No other Allfrey's listed in the book.I don't have any other sources that would help for that co.
BUT I do have "an index to Indiana naturalization recds found in various order books of the ninety-two local courts prior to 1907"I know that's a long title, but it might help.Nancy
