I am looking for the children of William guthrie and Margaret Japp who were both imigrants from Scotland. William emigrated from Scotland from Perth, Perthshire Scotland. And Margaret Japp emigrated from Peasly, River Doon Scotland. They married in 1828 in Switzerland county. I beleieve they had 6 or 8 children. I am researching one of their children (Thomas C. Guthrie) who may be my great grandfather and may have married Matilda Shields of Cass County Indiana.

Any help on this family would be appreciated. I think he is in the death records of Cass County as dying in Logansport Indiana August 18 1901.

I wonder if there are birth records from Switzerland county that have all their children.
