Andrew Jackson McCreary in 1850 and 1860 IN Censuses

My Andrew was born in 1843 in Switzerland county, Indiana as far as I know. I believe that John and Martha McCreary are his parents because in the 1850
Census an Andrew J is listed with John and Martha. In the 1860 a Jackson is listed with a Martha. Later in his life he occasionally used the name Jackson,
which lead me to believe he is their son. Martha would have been able to bare children. The two censuses do not list the relationship of head of the
househild. I know that it is possible Andrew could have been a grandchild. Do any of the relatives have any comments about this?
