I was in touch with the Sullivan
County people and still am. There is just a dead end that we have not been able to get past for the past 15 years I have been working on it. I have Lee's death certificate and know he died and was buried in Dugger, next to a church. At some point he went to Illinois and my grandmother, the first born was born in Illinois 9 Oct. 1876 at either Jersey or Alton but find no records there. So we know ca 1875 he went to Illinois. The last child, Lula Viola b 4 Dec 1886/1888 was born in Linton (?) Indiana. Lee died of Pneumonia in Dugger. Perhaps there is someone from one of the children's families that is also working on the tree. Married names were as follows. Phama Adellie m Charles Harrell, Alice Myrtle (Mertie)m John Jett, Lula Viola never married and James William died at age 2. My grandmother, Minnie May m Andrew Milton Taylor of Atlas, Ind. and they moved to Williamsfield, Ill then to Dahinda. Both deceased and buried in Williamsfield Cemetary, Knox County, Ill. The information I did get on Lee V. Riley's parents was typed on the back of the death certificate, James Riley and unknown Rhodes. Also, Lee was a schoolteacher which may be the reason he was in Illinois--not sure of year they moved back to Indiana but I have tried to get census and birth and death records on these and have found absolutely nothing on census in Ind or Ill and no birth record for Minnie May. Seems awful strange, but have also been into every site on the web checking as well as writing for the info and nothing. Quiries on the web was just another quest for information that seems to be no where I have looked and cannot think of another place to check.
