You have an interesting post re your Gen. Henry French. My own interest is in the Shroyer family. In the 1820 census a Christian Shroyer is listed next to a Henry French in Sullivan County, Indiana. I believe that this Christian Shroyer might also be a George Shroyer and that this Christian/George had sons John & Henry. John was born in 1813 near Dayton, Ohio; Henry was born in 1815 in Sullivan County, IN.

Have you ever heard of any connection between the French and Shroyer families?
