Susan,

Checked 1860 Census for Jesse Graham, not found. But, find Margaret.

1860 Sullivan, Hamilton County, Indiana
Taken: 14 June 1860
257/257

Graham, William, 49 m, Farm Labor, 0/70 Ky
Graham, Margaret, 67 f, N.C.
Graham, Sarah, 26 f, Ind

Margaret does not appear on the 1870 Census of Sullivan County, Indiana.

It's interesting to note that on the 1870 Census of Sullivan, Hamilton Township, Indiana that Nelson Graham has living in his household a one Sarah Canary, age 36, listed as housekeeper and she has a daughter, Lula M. Canary, age 4.

The above Sarah, age 26, living in William's household 1850, fits the right age to be the one and same Sarah Graham Canary.
Sarah Graham married Christian Canary (III) 15 Nov 1864.
Notice on the 1860 and 1870 Census that the Canary families are neighbors of the Grahams.

Maybe some of this will be of help to you.

Judy
