HENRY AND JENNIE LEAVITT
Posted by: jo Darling (ID *****1118) Date: March 28, 2003 at 14:08:25

Any information on these two individuals would be greatly appreciated.

Jenny/Jennie (Jane Smith) appears in the 1860 U.S. Census, Pleasant Twp., living with her uncle Justin Darling. By 1868 she had married Henry Leavitt. She and Henry appear in the 1870 census as living next to Humphrey Leavitt and Sophia Leavitt. In the 1880 Census for Angola, Pleasant Twp. it is just Henry and Jennie. By 1910, it is Jennie (widow) and Mary Jones who is listed as "partner". What type of business were they in? What ever became of Jennie?

Jenny/Jennie was the daughter of Milly (Darling) and James Smith. She had a brother Julius. Whatever became of him?
