Sorry to say, but I doubt that I'm going to be of much help with your SNYDER family. I check my copy of the W.P.A. Index to Marriage Records in Allen Co, IN 1824-1920. There was no Elma SNYDER, nor any Willard RYAN listed.

You didn't say what state or city you currently live in, so this may or may not help, but these are some research suggestions:

Federal census (especially the indexes) for 1900, 1910 and 1920 for Steuben Co, IN - that's 2 counties north of Fort Wayne.

W.P.A. birth, death and marriage indexes for
Steuben Co. Also cementery inscription records. I'm sure they are in the library in Angola, also in Allen Co Public Library in Fort Wayne.

Have you written to the Steuben Co. Genealogical Socity?

Although your relative keeps saying Elma is buried at Fremont, IN, "Fremont" may not be the name of the cemetery. Also Fremont, IN is very near the IN - MI state line, there is always the possibility she may be buried in Branch Co, MI.

The family George SNYDER / Mary STICK is in an area of Allen Co. that I am familiar with. Wish I could have been more helpful.
