I am following this family and have been for some time. Horace and Hester Hall lived in Benton Twp., Benton County, Iowa in 1870. The lived exactly next to my Great Grandfather Eli Fredrick Hall. Before that they were in LaGrange County, Indiana in 1850 and I believe that they were in Ohio in 1840. One daughter was named Amanda (your Mandy) and another daughter named Adelia Hall married a D. Emler prior to moving to Colorado.
Because I believe Horace Hall is related to my Hall side in some close way I have collected some primary data on Horace and Hester and have papers relating to his death.
So far I have not made the connection, but I feel nearly certain that Horace and Eli Fredrick Hall were closely related.
Please contact me I will be happy to share what I have about the children and what primary records that I have. There is something very interesting that happened with Hester as well.
