Hi!

I am looking for information on a family with the last name of Rittenhouse.

John Rittenhouse married Malinda E. Smith on September 29, 1841 in Shelby Co. Unfortunately, I'm unsure where the family is in 1850, but in 1860 I find them living in Hancock Co:

Rittenhouse, John, 40 (1820); OH; Farm Laborer
-Rittenhouse, Malinda E., 37 (1823); IN
-Rittenhouse, Mary, 14 (1856); IN
-Rittenhouse, Martha A., 13 (1855); IN
-Rittenhouse, Harriet J., 11 (1849); IN
-Rittenhouse, James F., 9 (1851); IN
-Rittenhouse, Julia A. No Age, IN

In 1870, the family is back in Shelby Co with another son:

-Rittenhouse, John, 52 (1818); OH; Works on a farm
-Rittenhouse, Melinda 50 (1820); IN
-Rittenhouse, Peter, 20 (1850); IN
-Rittenhouse, Oliver P. M., 5 (1865); IN

In 1880, the family is in Boone Co:

Rittenhouse, John; 60, Head, (1820); OH; Dad – PA; Mom – PA; Renovates feathers
-Rittenhouse, Malinda; wife, 58 (1822); IN; Dad – TN; Mom – VA; Paralysis
-Rittenhouse, Oliver; son, 15 (1865); IN; Dad – OH; Mom – IN

*The oldest daughter Mary Rittenhouse married David Gray in Hancock Co on Feb 12, 1862. I believe she died, but I haven't checked for death records at this time. Mr. Gray remarries a Susanna Helms June 9, 1867.

Any information on this family would be helpful. **I am particularly interested in getting info on John's family - most importantly his parents and any siblings. Any info on Malinda's parents and family would also be great as well.

Thanks
