Hi BarryI have some information on a Adrain Webb & wife Lucy Fitzgerald. My GGG Grandfather, Joel Shelton got three land patents from the goverment. Two in 1826 & one in 1830. First child David & my GG Grandfather got one in 1832. It so happens that Adrain Webb had three parcels of land that bordered Joel's land. William Webb has one parcel bordering Joel's land on the opposite side. Cuthbert Webb has a parcel on another side. Joel & Elizabeth (Phillips)Shelton's daughter's Susannah, married William Webb, & Catherine married Adrain Webb. William & Adrain Webb were the sons of Adrain Webb & Lucy Fitzgerald. Both William Webb & Adrain Webb & their wife's, the Shelton's moved to Van Buren, Iowa, in about 1839. They & most of their children are buried in Monroe or Van Buren, Iowa. William & Susanah did have a son Robert, born in Rush County, Indiana in 1833. They also had a son David killed in the Cival War. The Adrain that is the Father of William & Adrain, I do not know where he is buried. Possibly in the Shelton Cemetery on the land that Joel purchased in 1830. There are about 29 graves in it. but only about a dozen that have headstones. I will talk to a cousin & see if she has any more information. This is in Posey Twp. near present day Arlington, Rush County, Indiana.
