I am looking for information on a James Right and America McDowell. They were married on 22 Oct 1846 Jefferson,Co IN. They are on the 1850 census as James Right and America Right in Shelby Twp., Jefferson Co., IN. There a number of Rights in the area at this time, wondering how they might be related. On the 1860 census they are in Cross Plains, Brown Twp., Ripley Co., IN, last name is spelled Wright. They have 7 living children at this time, Sarah F, William B.M., *Mary Ellen (Mollie), Malinda, Henry, James, and Elizabeth. In 1920 Mary Ellen said she had 13 brothers and sisters. I am unable to locate the family on the 1870 census(yet). Any information on them and their children will be appreciated, thanks.
