Dear Members of Randolph County , IN Genealogy Forum, The only Irvine that I knew personally, was a bright girl, Pat Irvine who sat behind me in Miss Trowbridge's biology class from Sep. 1952 until June 1954. She had recently moved from Arizona to Glen Ellyn, IL. We went to Glenbard Twp. High School, one of the finest schools in all of IL. We were near Chicago. Pat had 6-7 siblings. She told me that she had lots of cousins in So. CA. When my family moved to Orange Co. and Vista, Ca, I was overwhelmed by the size of the Irvine Ranch. They sold most of the land, but donated land for the University of California at Irvine, CA which is known for it's fine medical school. They also donated land for the UCI Medical Center in Orange , CA. There are still Irvines in CA.You need to contact Joan Irvine Smith and The Irvine Founation. Your family tree probably has 5 hundred members (past and present). If you find Pat, please tell her that I miss her, Mary Jane Brain, and Nancy Guess and dozens more. Hope you find your Irvine family. So long. Marilyn E. Lowey Nelson markennelson@msn.com AKA "Nellie Nevada"
