I have a Jonathan Byrd who died in Putnam Co. 1827 and a James Luther Byrd who lived in that county from the late 1820s through 1852 when he moved to Cass County Iowa. James Luther was involved in county government in Putnam County. Jonathan Bird's name is recorded on a service men's monument on the courthouse grounds in Greencastle. He served in the Revolutionary War. Please contact me if this connects with anything you have. Thanks.
