These are obituaries from the Pulaski County Democrat of two sons of Philemon P. Phillips and Hannah Leighninger, originally from Coshocton, OH. If any descendants want scans of the newspaper clippings, let me know.

Sudden Call to Well Known Star City Man
Ralph A. Phillips, well known retired farmer of VanBuren township, passed away quite unexpectedly shortly before noon today at his home in Star City. He had not been in good health for some time, following an illness last fall, and has been confined to his home for the last few days, but his condition was not regarded as critical.
Mr. Phillips was seventy-four years of age and had spent the greater part of his life in Pulaski county. Surviving are the widow,two sons and three daughters. Of the latter, Earl lives near the south Pulaski county line and Stanley at Salem, Ind.; Mrs. Frank H. King is a resident of Winamac, Mrs. John Phillips lives at Michigan City, and Mrs. Adam Thompson in VanBuren township.
Funeral services are to be held at 1:30 Saturday afternoon, at the Star City M. E. Church.

Freemont Phillips
The death of Freemont Phillips occurred Sinday at the home of his son Virgil, three miles west of Kewanna. Eighty-one years of age, Mr. Phillips was found dead in his bed about eight o’clock in the morning by his son, and it was stated death, due to a heart ailment, had taken place in the early hours of the day.
Mr. Phillips was born in Ohio April 27, 1862 and for many years was a well known farmer of Pulaski and Fulton counties. His wife, the former Anna Bonnell, died in 1939. Surviving are four sons and a daughter—Clancy Phillips of Winamac, Virgil of Kewanna, and Mrs. Esther Foh of Downey, Calif. There are also two sisters, Mrs. Plive Overman of South Bend and Mrs. Effie Geier of Star City, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the Star City Methodist church, of which he was a member, Tuesday afternoon following brief services at the home. They were conducted by the Rev. John Paul Jones. Burial was in the Star City cemetery.
