My fifth generation Joshua Monroe married Sarah Maples in the Town of Montville, New London County, Connecticut on 10 July 1787. Sarah Maples was born in North Parish 19 December 1757. Sarah was the daughter of John and Sarah Baker. Sarah Maples Monroe died September 1849 in the Town of Barton, Tioga County, New York at 91 years of age.
I know that some of the residents of New York came down the Ohio River to this area. Does this info fit in your research.
Best Regards,
CAM
