Lookoing for information on the Haltom family. The name has also been spelled Halthom.
The information I have so far is:
Joseph Haltom born abt 1759 in Anson Co. North Carolina.
In 1780 he married Mary Randle in Montgomery Co. North Carolina. I am told that Anson co. became part of Montgomery around that time also. He died 1825 in Montgomry Co.
His son William was born there around 1804. William married Elizabeth Sugg sometime before 1844. He then married Elizabeth Lucas in 1844. There were quite a few children created as a result of these two unions. He died in Owen Co. Indiana in 1859 and is buried in Carolina Cemetary in Owen Co.
He and his secound wife had a daughter named Mary A. Haltom in 1848 in Indiana. She married Calvin Barns. She died in 1921 and is buried with her husband in Cataract Cemetary in Owen Co. Indiana.

Any more information or corrections would be great
