Note: Upon a visit to the Hudson Hill Cemetary, in Owen Co., In, I discovered a surprising headstone.
It is the headstone of Vincent Anderson b. 1835 d 1904 husband of Susanna R. b 1849 d 1935.
At this time, I have not been able to identify who this Vincent Anderson is, and where he fits in the Anderson family.
Note: Just reviewed the 1900 Federal Census. Vincent and wife Susanna are living in Taylor Twnshp in 1900. Listed as born Sept. 1836 and Sussana b. Aug. 1849 m. 25 yrs in 1900 and had two sons living with them Albert C. b. Oct. 1880 and Ralph b. May 1885.Vincent's occupation is listed as Atty at Law, his wife was listed at Notary Public and son Albert listed as Salesman/Grocer. Vincent lists both parents as being born in Kentucky and Susanna listed her father b. in Indiana and mother b. in Kentucky.
Note: Just reviewed the 1880 Federal Census for Taylor Twnshp. Vincent Anderson, Susannah and son are on the first page.It lists the son either Dean Paul or Jean Paul age 4. It also shows the mother of Vincent Anderson, Elizabeth age 66. Elizabeth was born in Kentucky, her father in Ohio and her mother in Virginia. The household also includes a servant Ellen Gilaspie age 25 and John Hutcherson age 52 a boarder and Miller by trade.
Note: the 1880 Federal Census for Taylor Twnshp's enumerator was Vincent Anderson. I assume the Atty.
