Milton is a small town in Ohio County on the southern side of Laughery Creek. Dearborn County, Indiana was formed in 1826 and in 1843 Rising Sun broke away from them to form Ohio County, IN. Laughery Creek is the boundary between Dearborn and Ohio Counties.
Milton is just down the hill from my home.
Milton did have a hugh saw mill in the late
1800's to early 1900's. My husband's great
uncle and cousin worked there.
Milton is in Union Township. Mt. Pleasant Cemetery is in Randolph Township, Ohio County. Mt Pleasant Cem. is located on SR 262 just east of Woods Ridge Road in the town of Pate.
The town sign of Pate is still standing. Only the old school is the only building left, other than about 10 houses.
