Schoenlein/Shaneline Mystery

There is a mystery regarding Burkhard,Buckhardt,Barhard Schoenlein. My ancestor Burkhardt Schoenlein migrated from Noble County,IN to Michigan about 1853. He died in MI and is buried in Saginaw County MI. According to information published in the Noble County Marriages 1830-1930 he was married to Abelona Ries in 1850.(My ancestors) A Burkhard Shaneline was also married to Caroline Ruboni(Swallow)in 1864. The birthdates listed for both men is listed as 28 April 1814. My question is, were there 2 Buckhardt's, twins, or did he have a son with the same name and birthdate? I hope someone can help me solve this very interesting problem.
