James & Elizabeth Jackson family info

I am attempting to locate information on the James R. and Elizabeth (Alshire)Jackson family. They were living in or near Peru, Miami county, Indiana between 1850 and 1865.
I was able to locate the family in the 1850 census living in Butler township, Miami county: Jas. R. Jackson, age 28, born in S.C.; his wife, Elizabeth, age 25, born in Ohio; and two children: Abram, age 9, born in Iowa; Cynthia, age 6, born in Iowa. I would like to find out more about this family. Would anyone be able to search for them in the 1856 or 1860 census records? Records I have on Cynthia states she was born near Peru, Miami county, Indiana and lived in Peru in 1860 and in Miami county until 1863. Cynthia married Samuel H. Beaman between 1863 and 1867. Could she have married him in Miami county? Her mother, Elizabeth Alshire Jackson remarried to a Mr. Hodson. Could that marriage have taken place in Miami county? Did James R. Jackson pass away in Miami county? Any information would be appreciated.
