Maria Wykoff (Cummins) Rape

I am looking for information about Maria Wykoff Cummins who married (1) Lewis Rape in 1835 in Preble County, Ohio and (2) Jacob Bender. She survived both husbands and can be found with her son Lafayette Rape in the 1880 census in Adams County, Indiana. The census information says she was born in 1808 in New Jersey. Her father was born in New Jersey and her mother was born in New York. In the household also is Jane Commings and her child Thadeus. Jane is listed as a half sister. Family tradition says that Maria's father was William Cummins, but no documentation. There were William Cummins listed in censuses for Warren, Miami and Hamilton County OH in 1820 and 1830. Can anyone help me connect the dots?
