Searching for William Nichols and Susan "Susanah?" UNKNOWN Nichols. They married in Virginia sometime before 1785. They moved to what is now Mercer Co., Kentucky.

They were the parents of "at least" 5 children:

1) Nathaniel "Nathan" Nichols, born before 1785 in Virginia; married Cassandra "Cassander" Matherly 16 Jan. 1813 in Mercer Co., Kentucky. But the marriage was not listed in the courthouse before 1814. Nathaniel and Cassey were the parents of 13 children: Mahala Claunch, Mary "Polly" Bottom, Elizabeth Speed, Thomas C. Nichols, Howard Nichols, Joel Jackson "J.J." Nichols, Wilson Nichols, Martha Ann Hetchell, Nancy M. Watts, James Nichols, William Nichols, and "my" John Carver Nichols.

2) Lucy Nichols married Stephen Fields 15 April 1822 in Mercer Co., Kentucky. Nothing else found.

3) Betsy Nichols married Matthieas Gabbert 28 Feb. in Mercer Co., Kentucky. May have some on Gabbert family.

4) Sally Nichols married William Patterson before 1815. Nothing else found.

5) Rutha Nichols married William Nixon 1 June 1822 in Mercer Co., Kentucky. Email from Tracy, "William and Rutha Nichols Nixon moved from Kentucky to Warrick Co, Indiana and later moved to Gibson Co., Indiana."

I have looked for this family for over 50 years. Any little bit would be welcomed with appreciation.
