My point with the marriage record is that it should contain the names of Martha Dano's parents.

You know Martha's date of death - do you have her death certificate? That too should name her parents.

A Canadian genealogy society might have a volunteer willing to check Martha's birth date in Toronto to find her parents. But I presume you've tried that?

What is your source for her precise date and place of birth?
