I'n traceing a family tree for Andrew Wylie and Agnes Pollock. They were said to be from Renfrewshire. I seen on their tombstone that the parish was Neilson/Nelson? They had three sons and 2 girls when the traveled to Albion Mines now Stellarton Nova Scotia, They had a son William born there who married a Margaret McKenzie and they had 5 kids I'd have to check that. The family went back and forth between Stellarton and Springhill Nova Scoia. Wm son Arthur went to Indiana and made it big time. He married a Laura Brown and he moved back to Springhill where he was working in his Uncle Alexander McKenzie's mercantile in Springhill and also a pharmahist. He is buried in Springhill. He was writtian about in Jacob Pihatt's book Indiana and Indians. I would any info at all on this family. From the tombstone in Pionerr Cementery Andrew a native of the Parish of Nelson Renfrewshire Scotland...Andrew died age 71 in 8/Sept/1875 , Agnes was living a widow still in Stellarton at 80.She died 25/Nov/1886 age 87.In memory of Grace daughter of Andrew and Agnes dies 26/Dec/1855 age 20 years and one month. Alexander Wylie born 8/Oct/1827, died 6/June/1895 in memory of Margaret McKay wife of Alexander Wiley died 22/Oct/1879 age 53 years around side of that headstone said Donald McKay died March 1874 age 94 years persuamably Mary's dad.
