1913 Indiana birth records lists a male born May 28,1913 named William Swails (my dad) the birth records also lists a male born 29 May 1913, in Boone Co. IN, named Aubrey Swails.This is a mystery,to me because the parent for both babies is listed as Mary E. Cook, which I assume would indicate a unmarried mother.When I first started the search for my dad's parents it appeared that they were Ernest and Mary Allen,Swails. Before my dad died he had told me he was a twin but the other baby died.He didn't say whether the baby died during birth or shortly after. 1920 Census for Morgan Co. IN lists a William Swails 6/7 years old living with Simon and Lydia Allen and he is listed as a grandson. In the same Census I found Noah and Cora Allen living near Simon and Lydia and there are 2 boys named Earl and Forest Swails living with them and listed as boarders/lodgers.If anyone has any information on Mary E. Cook it would be greatly appreciated as my two younger brothers and myself haven't a clue about our dad's childood,his parents or grandparents.We are getting to that stage in life ( the golden years) and we would like for our children and grandchildren to know their heritage!
