Hi Sue thank you for your reply.It could be some of my information is wrong since what you found and what I found doesn't add up.The information I have is from an Arline Schaefer.Who that is I have no clue,I assume someone from the family.The letter in which I got the initial info was sent to me by my aunt,William was hers and my father grandfather on their mothers side of the family.
I had found the 1880 census and also the 1900 census.Tho the 1900 one doesn't have as much info as previous ones it does list my gg grandmother as Williams wife,the correct year of their marriage and how long they had been married when the census was taken.So with so many clues falling into line I am thinking someone along the family has information wrong about his parents passing when he was about 3.Im not even sure where that infor came from.Im going to look into the new leads I have and see what comes of it . Thank you again ,please let me know if I can help you with anything .
