***I have Luman A Shurtleff personal history and in there on pages 42 and 43 he says that on the eleventh he baptised them meaning, Levi,Elisabeth, Martha and Joseph in the Wabash river. (Levi was Baptised before the rest of them on the 28th)Luman A Shurtleff was on a misson in Indiana, July-Sept 1840 when he said that they were baptized. It also says that "Martha Bro. Murdocks oldest child a young woman had a fever sore or white swellig of one of her legs which had troubled her for some years and was like to cripple her for life when we confirmed them which we did at the waters edge we also administered to her so no person knew what we did. her sore dried up and she was healed."
