I am looking for the parents of Mary Ann Keller born 1810 in Ohio. She married a James Elwell 10 Apr 1833, in Fountain, Indiana, he died that year and she had a daughter, Mary Jane Elwell born 1834. Mary Ann Keller Elwell marries again in 3 Jan 1838 to a John W Penner. John Penner dies on 17 Oct 1868 in Indiana. She dies in 30 May 1885 in Shenandoah, Page, Iowa. She is listed on the grave marker as Mary Ann Penner but on the cemetery records she is listed as Mary Ann Huffer Penner. I do not know anything about why she has Huffer listed with her name. I do know that Mary Jane Elwell, her daughter, married John Huffer on 27 Mar 1857. I am at a dead end, please contact me if you have anything.
