Re: Sanfords in Connecticut

I am looking for information re: Charles and Ann Sanford from Hartford, CO. According to the 1850 census he was born in about 1780 in Connecticut. The 1860 U.S. Federal Census Mortality Schedule Index gives his age as 79 dying in December of 1860. He was farmer and his death was accidental. The 1850 census gives his wife's name as Ann, age 59, born in Connecticut. Also listed in the household are Chs W. Sanford, age 23, Sarah Wells, age 18, and Daniel Collins, age 21. All of these people were born in Connecticut. I believe that Chs W. may be my 2nd great-grandfather, Chester W. Sanford born in about February of 1827, 1828, or 1829. I believe that at some point Chester lived in New York. Eventually he married Sarah E. Rhea in St. Joseph, Missouri. They later were in Louisville, KY, then in several places in Indiana. They eventually wound up in Austin, Texas. They had six children and got divorced. Chester was living in Victoria, Texas when he died on December 7, 1892. Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated. You can e-mail me directly at ChezSquif@aol.com
