The Bremen Public library has a searchable online obituary index that is growing every day. If you have ancestors who settled in the Bremen, IN area (which is in German Township, Marshall County, IN but is also very close to St. Joseph Co. & Elkhart Co.--), this is a great resource. A large percentage of early Bremen settlers were from Germany & France (particulary Alsace).
The obituary index covers most dates from April 1884-Dec. 31, 1964 (although not every year has been indexed yet).
What's so nice is that you can actually view the original obituary online. You can do partial name searches (but no Soundex)
