Emmett Carroll, my great grandfather, born Oct 12, 1815 in Sharpsburg, Ma. Married three times. First wife Susan unknown maiden name, with whom he had Anna abt 1848 in Indiana,Joseph abt 1846 in Indiana and Frances abt 1844 in Ohio. Do not have Emmetts parents. Second wife unkn. They had Charles H. Nov 26, 1854, Mount Morris, Illinois; Vinton Mar 15, 1857, Johnson Co. Iowa, Warren Dec 7 1859,Johnson Co. Iowa. Third wife Hester Patterson married Sept 4, 1902. They had one child, Alice, my grandmother. Emmett is buried in Pt. Townsend, Wa. Hester in Morse, Johnson Co., Iowa. Any additions or corrections would be greatly appreciated.
