Have you found John W. Perkins before 1880? I betcha 10 bucks that he was born more like 1860 in NC, Surry Co. The family was in 1870 Rockcastle Co KY. The ages are extremely off on the parents also. They are listed as 30 and 27 in that 1880 Greene Co IL census. In 1870 they are 39 and 39. In 1860 NC they are 36 and 28 which I believe is closer to the truth at least for Nancy. There are several older children than John W. Email me at Vonny81@aol.com and I can send you the censuses that I found. 1880 shows him a minister as does 1870 for KY. I have never seen such distorted ages, but I am sure it is the right people.
