Thank you so much for replying to my Mustard query.
I will not pursue the James & Almira line - thank you for clearing that up.
A Marion county clerk told me no records other than lists on web were in existence - that actual physical pages/books no longer existed.
I will go ahead and try for marriage for Harry and Dora and birth for Walter. Walter was in the 1910 Indianapolis census. He may have been with his mom until then if family records were incorrect in stating she died.
I will have to check marriages for a Dora Cannon/census, also to see if she remarried. (I got Walter's birthdate from his death certificate - shows you can't always trust the published records)
