No problem....

In 1870 he was living in Johnson, Knox, IN on someone else's farm and listed as a "Day laborer". It doesn't appear that he is married as no wife or child is listed with him, but this census does not ask that question.

In 1860 he does have a family
1860/IN/Knox/Johnson/p.990
Lewis Frederick 36 farmer IN
Polly Frederick 30 IN
Martin Frederick 6 IN
Hiram Frederick 4 IN
John Frederick 49 farm laborer IN
Elizabeth Frederick 30 IN

In 1870 I found Martin and Hiram living in other households so perhaps Polly died. Martin is living with John (59) and Eliza (46) Frederick and may be their nephew. Hiram is with John and Elizabeth Shultz.

Him?

1850/IN/Knox/District 61/p.211
Margaret Frederck 61 Germany
Benjamin Frederick 25 farmer IN
Louis Frederick 24 farmer IN
Margaret Frederick 22 IN
Anna Steele 31 IN
John M. Y??? 13 IN

Or him? p. 207
John L. Frederick 25 farmer IN
Polly Frederick 22 IN
Thomas Frederick 4 IN
Anna Steele 22 IN
John Steele 8 IN

Also found a Lewis Frederick that served in Co. C, 65th Indiana Infantry as a private out of Vincennes but another record says he was killed in 1863 so I guess that's not him!
