This Paul Hadley below from the Social Security Death Index matches the one above. Your friend could write for his death certificate to see if it's a match with parents names. If so, and you can get his exact date of death, you might be able to find an obituary for him. I can't find a volunteer from Huntington county online but sometimes the local library in that area has newspaper microfilm and would be willing to send a copy of the obit for a small fee or donation. One possible glitch - sometimes the actual place of death is not where his last social security benefit was sent. He could have moved in with a family member or gone to a hospital to die. I would start with the Huntington county clerk and see if they have record of his death.
