Nancy,

I can't find them before 1860, in NE. Martha, the eldest daughter married my grgrgrandfather, Alban Glasby, Jr., in NE in 1867. By 1868, both the Glasby and Wiggins were in MO. Charlotte moved with her sister, Martha after that, until she married. The marriage lasted only three years, and Charlotte was back with Martha Wiggins Glasby again. In 1880, they were in Jasper County, MO. I lost her after that, but Martha and Alban Glasby lived in southwest Missouri for the rest of their lives.

As you see, in 1860, Charlotte has no mother. I know that in 1855, in Iowa, her mother was living, because that's the date and place of Charlotte's birth, and being born usually requires a mother.

Archibald had brothers, Edward, who lived in Keokuk, and Jonathon, who lived in Jasper County. They are the reason that I thought Charlotte might have been born in one of those places.

I'm about to give up. I have looked for the name of Charlotte and Martha's mother for years, with NO success.

Thanks for your reply. I appreciate it.

Ron
