I’m not related to your family but have looked at the 1880 census record you mention (below). Might your Mary be a nickname for Sarah E? I have had Sarah’s in my various families with nicknames as Sally/Sallie, or Mary, or even Polly. Apparently the use of those nicknames was popular in that day. You give the year of birth for your Mary as 1853. This also corresponds to the Sarah E. below. Perhaps Sarah E is really the Mary you are seeking. Best of luck in your search. 1880 CENSUS, Salem, Marion, IL PARKER, BENJAMIN, self, married, male, white, age 30, born OH, farmer, father born OH, mother born OH PARKER, SARAH E, wife, married, female, white, age 27, born OH, keeping house, father born OH, mother born OH PARKER, ROSETTA, daughter, single, female, white, age 10, born IN, father born OH, mother born OH PARKER, CLARANCE L, son, single, male, white, age 8, born IN, father born OH, mother born OH PARKER, COLMER B, son, single, male, white, age 6, born IL, father born OH, mother born OH PARKER, MARY, daughter, single, female, white, age 1, born IL, father born OH, mother born OH Notify Administrator about this message?
