I would also like to know Lynn!! What do you know about your husband's Chandler Schoonover and his lineage? The Chandler & family I am searching for was one of the sons of Christopher Crumb Schoonover, a veteran of the Revolutionary War. In the pension records of Christopher in the National Archives is an affidavit of his son, Isaac D. Schoonover of 1850, who was applying for a land grant through his father's war service. Isaac mentions three sons of Christopher, still alive, or possibly alive. Benjamin, who he says is "somewhere in western Texas" (my gr-gr grandfather) and Chandler who, when last heard from some years earlier, was living in southern Indiana. The third son, of course, is Isaac Decker Schoonover. I cannot find Chandler in the Census, so I have long assumed that he may have died before 1850. Anyway, if you have anything at all on this lineage would very much appreciate your sharing same. I have a great deal of information on my Schoonovers which I would love to share with you if this is your ancestry and lineage.
