The Candy Kitchen 1940s, Plymouth, IN
Hello Marshall County Researchers,
I am working on a book about my father's years growing up in Plymouth, Indiana (1928-1950).One of his fondest memories as a youngster was the excitment of going to a place they called The Candy Kitchen where they sold food, soft drinks and candy. He said there was also an Ice Cream Parlor in town too that served the best banana split in town and you always got a free added treat of 2 home baked cookies on the side.He didn't remember the name though.
Does anyone have a photograph of The Candy Kitchen or the Ice Cream parlor in Plymouth around 1940s or so?A digital copy (.jpg) would be great!
I'd be most grateful for any help or suggestions to find a photo.
Cathy
