There were several sawmills in Marshall Co., IN. My great-great grandfather, Solomon Keyser in 1851 built and was part owner of the first steam-run sawmill which was near Bremen, IN. He owned it will Philip Huff and Zachariah Keyser. They owned it for 11 years when it was sold to Martin Kelly who married Zachariah's sister. Martin was killed in the Civil War in 1863.
