Thank you Melanie. Does the 1870 census list ex-wife Julia and her Bunnell children? And is there a 20 year old Juliette Bunnell living with her? What is value of Julia's personal estate?
Probably have to check the land records to see when Munger Adams' real estate was divided up among his children to learn when he died.In 1860 Lemuel M Adams, farmer, had $4000 in real assets (assume including new wife Julia's marital assets)
The 1860 census is amess. The last two "Bunnell" children listed were undoubtedly Adams children, Ada Etta and Moses L. Adams, age and place of birth also unreliable, both b.OH. The first wife Adah was still alive in 1850 @ age 50 and the family history lists no daughter Juliette Adams nor is there a gravestone for her. (However there is also NO g.s listed for daughter Jane, w/o Dr. Robert Cornwall, who was buried in IOOF Cemetery as per her obit.)The Bourbon Bicentennial book said that Lemuel M. Adams was the first butcher and operated a market in 1861/62.
Lemuel Adams (Munger) was listed in Marshall Co. IN in the 1869 probate of his brother Milden D Adams. Munger either died1869/70or is there in 1870 census in a typo spelling.
I appreciate your help,
Janet
