Greetings Marge and thanks for your response. I was looking for anything regarding a great-uncle Elijah Brown, who died near Frankton in 1948. The King Funeral Home handled it and would have had records at one time, but I never located those records.

You graduated from AHS three years after I did (1952). We probably have mutual acquaintances although I haven't lived in Anderson since the 50s. My rundown on the Brown and allied families can be found in "Indiana Bound," at the Anderson library and a later edition at the Madison County Historical Center. I know of B. Frank Brown who died in 1954 and is buried in East Maplewood Cemetery; to my knowledge, no relationship, however.

At one time I tried to sort all the early Madison County Browns I could, but it was a fruitless task.
