I am in possession of an album filled with antique family photos that may be of interest to you and your relatives.

I purchased this photo album at a rummage sale in Garrett, IN several years ago. I have a passion for vintage photographs and this album contains many wonderful photographs. The people that sold it to me had no idea how it came into their possession as the name Smith is most prominent in the contents. Among the photographs I've found a birth announcement for a Rose Mary born to Mr. & Mrs. Laurence Smith on Aug.22/no year stated, business cards for Mr. Chas. J. Smith and Mr. Jno M. Smith(some letters missing on this piece), a funeral service record for Mary Jane Bartmess date of birth 5/22/1856 date of death 3/19/1940 final resting place Baptist Cemetery Laporte County, IN and a remembrance card from the funeral service for Mary Smith who died Dec. 15, 1887 at the age of 18yrs., a hand written notation on regular note paper that states "Tillman S Gilbert and Elizabeth Smith was married February the 4th, 1911, a photograph in a folder with a marine corp. insignia of a white cross at what appears to be Arlington Cemetery marked #215 with the name Jesse Smith, PVT. R. H. Q. M. C., U. S. A.(beneath the cross D19540), and a military photo of a group of soldiers written on the back is "Jesse Smith, Mother:Mrs. Elizabeth Gilbert, Rolling Prairie, IN, LaPorte Co.. Some of the photos have photographers names and addresses around the Warsaw area and there is one from Pennsylvania.

Most of the photographs are of excellent quality and there are some that are on "tin" from the 1800's.
