Wow. What a fast response! I cannot help about Wolf family stories. Today I again asked two very elderly Miller cousins (89 & 95 years) about the Miller family and they never heard any stories about David and Sophia Miller. Both grew up right at or near Millers Landing at Webster Lake, Indiana.
In fact, our part of the family has had no information about Sophia Wolf. The Millers have not kept in touch over the decades and I'm busy looking for people who have inherited the pictures/papers. I just got in contact with Robyn Bailey-Orchard who said she is a descendent of William Wolf and will send me information. Do you know her? I was not even aware that Wells County, IN was part of the Wolf story.
I would really, really appreciate any Wolf family information that you have. I know no dates other than from a few census records. I don't even know where Sophia is buried. I have concentrated more on Sophia's children since I had little hope to learn much about her. I live in CA but I come to Indiana every summer to visit family and try to squeeze in time to research.
I will be gone over Easter weekend but I am so excited to have found you! You may email me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks. Linda
