I imagine you are referring to the River De Shee. It emptied into the Wabash River in Decker Twp. It looks like it began in the middle of Johnson Twp. and on some old maps is listed as River DeShee/James T. Orr Ditch. It ran smack dab through one of my 3rd g-grandparents farm and then entered Decker Twp. where it ran horizontally to the river in northern part of the twp. I, myself, had never even heard of it until researching family and I grew up in Knox Co.
