Gilbert Adams

Sometime between 1860 and 1870 Gilbert Adams moved into Knox County from Kentucky (according to census records). He was married (for at least the second time) to Sarah Alexander in Knox County in 1864 (according to the marriage records there).

He remarried yet a third time in 1871 to a "Sally Cooper" in Knox County.

That's the last documentation I have on Gilbert Adams. Does anyone know if he left a will (he was born about 1823 in Kentucky) in Knox County, or did he move on?

And, does anyone know anything of Sarah (Alexander) Adams?

2 sons of Gilbert, William P. Adams and William Gilbert Adams can be found as recently as the 1900 census. In 1880 the 2 Williams are living in the same household with William G. being the "brother" of William P. Mother's POB = Kentucky for William P; Indiana for William G.

On April 1, 1888 William Gilbert Adams married Susan (Wallace) Myers, widow of Jacob Myers. William and Susan's daughter, Clara Mae, is my wife's grandmother.

Thus my interest!

Thanks for reading, and hopefully a response or 2!
